Spring is Here! Update Your Kitchen- Cabinet & Island Painting

Like the old saying, “it’s all in the details” couldn’t be more true on this recent job. Check out this kitchen cabinet & island painting project we worked on in Somers, NY. We made this kitchen look like new just in time for spring. These are the finished product pictures, but here is a step by step of how we got here.

We started this project by first removing all of the portions (that could be removed) and brought them to our to spray booth in Patterson.

We then lightly sand and degreased all of the fixed portions. This included cabinet drawer fronts and cabinet doors.

We applied one coat bonding primer over all surfaces.

We then applied two top coats of Benjamin Moore, Satin Impervo Waterborne Enamel paint, to all fixed portions as well as all cabinet doors and drawer fronts. The transformation was instant. It’s amazing what a huge difference paint can make on old surfaces.

Benjamin Moore, Satin Impervo Paint has excellent sag resistance. It’s easy to apply with brush roller or even spray. It covers surfaces in one coat (provided they are in good repaint condition) and color change is not extreme but makes a statement. We then re-installed all cabinet doors and drawer fronts as well as all hardware.

Any other portions were brought to the spray booth and fixed portions were micro fiber rolled.
